Classes and courses

I have noticed that most of my posting are of a negitive skew, but I do ashare you that my travels are not of a negitive nature, but those things that are most notable for a perpose have been the so called negitive happening of the last few weeks.
After this post I shall be writing of less unlucky events that have happened, but before that happy happenings I will bring to attention the current status of my acidemic sichuation.
Being accepted as a second year transfer student into the business department of the University here gives a guy not many choices for classes. Not many as in no choice at all. I was signed up for my classes by my DOS (director of studies). This would have been ok with me if the classes were not all first year classes that I had taken before and had not only gotten high grades in but was top of my class. This also would not have been a problem if my DOS was here at the university for me to go see him and change my course to something better suited to my learning. But there lies the main problem since the second day of the begining of the semester my DOS has been MIA. I have been unable to meet with him or receive any return emails from him. The business department will only tell me that he is with family, that I need to get intouch with him to switch my classes and give me about half a dozen email addresses that all dont work. Meanwhile my DOS information on my student web fille has now been replaced with "no DOS", every student has a DOS, event students that have graduated still have a DOS.
So long story sort I am in first year classes that are in base reveiw sessons with different terms only useful if I was going to work as a accountant in the UK, which is not one of my goals in life. Also with more time that passes the less able I am to replace my classes with better ones and also take on classes. I would very much like more classes because to be truthful I have much to much time at the ready and the student gym/weight room sees me to often.
But in the time these things have happened the weather in Edinburgh has been around 60 to high 50's F and rainsat least once a day. The leaves are slowly changing and the rest of the student body are slowly getting into the swing of the semester and calming down, thankfully.
